Poor Journalism
An article published in the Business Day really irked me. Another example of lazy or is it incompetent journalism, I am sure that it is not anything more sinister then that. The author, Thabiso Mochiko has a headline that reads, “Minister locks horns with IT sector” and then qoutes Paulo Ferreira of Microsoft. Surely, Microsoft does not speak on behalf of the entire IT industry, in fact in South Africa I doubt that they can speak on behalf of “software makers” as the article has it. There is some entertaintment to be had from the article though as Paulo is qouted as saying, ” There is no such thing as free software.”
